The Called & Gifted Award
The Called and Gifted award, inaugurated at the 2006 Annual Meeting, recognizes the honoree’s integrity, scholarship, and longevity of service to the church and AGPIM as a ministry educator.

Call for Nominees for the "Called & Gifted Award"
Criteria
- Recipient has made a contribution to AGPIM that is substantial and lasting (conducted research; provided leadership; fostered collegial conversation in an organized and helpful way etc.) within the discipline of pastoral theology.
- The recipient is respected for her or his contributions to the field, especially as an educator of ministers.
- Recipient represents the interests of graduate education in ministry and AGPIM in the broader ecclesial and academic communities.
- Current members of the Executive Committee are not eligible for the award (2007 Executive Committee meeting decision).

Pope Francis "Timbro Pastorale” Annual Award
This award, established in 2025, is presented at the annual conference to celebrate a stellar
published contribution (book or essay) which most clearly demonstrates scholarly excellence and
makes an invaluable contribution to the fields of ministry formation and/or pastoral, practical or
contextual theology, as inspired by Ad Theologiam Promovendam.
