Our Annual Meeting may have come and gone, but keep in touch as we’re already planning for next year!
Ellen Koneck is the executive director at Commonweal. Before beginning this role in 2022, she was an adjunct lecturer in Catholic Studies at Sacred Heart University, acquisitions editor for Anselm Academic, board member at Commonweal, and most recently, the head writer at Springtide Research Institute.
Ellen has her Master of Arts in religion from Yale Divinity School and sits on the advisory board at Liturgical Press. She regularly gives presentations and appears on podcasts to discuss the emerging religious landscape in the US. In addition to authoring or co-authoring several research reports,
Ellen has published personal essays and articles in America, Commonweal, Plough, Reflections, and elsewhere. She lives in Minnesota with her husband and two sons.
